This course is for seconds in the department or anyone who currently holds a responsibility and is seeking to understand the role of Head of Science.

It will help secure a depth of knowledge in how to lead a team, learn about the systems that are integral to running a department, the implementation of the curriculum as well as dealing with the day-to-day situations. The impact of the training is to provide the confidence in being able to take the next career step of leading a science department.

The course will hopefully plant the seeds of developing leadership with a clear vision so that students can be fully immersed in the world of science engaging beyond the classroom.
