This session will provide new and existing governors with an overview of the legalities in relation to exclusions with a particular focus on permanent exclusions and over 15 days of exclusions in a term. Browne Jacobson will provide a thorough overview of the legalities whilst OGAT colleagues will provide examples of permanent exclusion packs and what should be included in them, alongside how meetings should be conducted and what to expect in a permanent exclusion hearing.
